The Official Mascot and the Theme Song of the 1st Asian Youth Games (AYG) Singapore 2009 was unveiled by Mr. Teo Ser Luck, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports & Ministry of Transport on 19th March 2009.

AYG's Official Mascot is named Frasia (pronounced as Fra-sher) meaning 'Friends of Asia'. It is the embodiment of the values and spirit associated with Olympism - friendship, respect and excellence. It also constitutes a spirited representation of young hearts and minds in pursuit of sporting excellence.
