The 2nd Asian Indoor Games were held in Macau, China from October 26, 2007 to November 3, 2007.

Most events took place at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. Officially opened by Chief Executive Edmund Ho Torch Lighter Chu Chin Tou Stadium Macao East Asian Games Dome.

<p>In the Official Emblem of the 2AIG, the Shinning Sun emblem of Olympic Council of Asia represents the ever-glimmering and warm spirit of the Asian people and OCA's vital role in Asia's sport development and cohesion.<br /><br />The Shining Sun also symbolises the passion, charm and unity of Asia's people.<br />The design of the 2AIG emblem is based on two Chinese characters: the powerful yellow strokes form the character "People", reflecting the vigour, vitality and unity of all people involved in the Games.<br /><br />The two sturdy blue strokes form the character "Two", representing the second edition of the Asian Indoor Games. Two green vertical strokes complete the design, representing hearty growing plants, which symbolize both the environmental commitment of the host city, as well as the aspiration for the Asian Indoor Games to grow steadily in this and future editions.<br /><br />Together, the six simple, yet powerful strokes produce an image of a house set on solid ground, signifying that Macao, a youthful and energetic multi-cultural city, will serve as a solid foundation for future Asian Indoor Games.</p>

<p>The 2AIG Official Mascot "Mei Mei" has been inspired by a black-faced spoonbill, from northeast Asia that migrate to Macao every autumn. "Mei Mei" flies high into the sky, symbolizing that Macao opens new paths with its endlessly innovative spirit.<br /><br />She also represents the youthful, boundless, soaring spirit of the Asian Indoor Games and inspires Macao citizens to participate in the Games.</p>
