Astana, Kazakhstan, September 10, 2019: The National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan will hold a major international science and sports medicine conference on September 27 which will be attended by leading medical experts from Great Britain to Doha.
The conference will coincide with the opening of the innovative Centre for Sports Medicine and Rehablitation – PROSPORT – located in the village of Ryskulova in the Talgar district of Almaty region.
The theme of the conference will be ‘multi-disciplinary approach to medial support in the system of elite athletes training’.
Attending and speaking at the conference will be representatives from the International Olympic Committee, Aspetar Sports Medicine Centre in Doha, Qatar, Brighton University in the UK, National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, and leading Kazakhstan doctors and psychologists in the field of sports medicine.
“Science and sports medicine are among the most important components of the world of sports, so it is always necessary to improve skills, learn from experience of advanced countries in this field and keep abreast of latest trends and this conference is a significant project in this field,” said Galiya Bilyalova, Director of the Department of Sports Medicine and Anti-Doping of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.
“It will be held on the initiative of our President Timur Kulibayev. This will give an opportunity to sports doctors and other specialists, who constantly provide medical and biological support to national teams, to adopt proven foreign methods and apply it in their work,” she added.
Among the subjects to be touched on are sports medicine, functional diagnostics, sports psychology, new medical technologies and exhibition of pharmaceutical products, and rehabilitation process in the complex system of training.
