Kazakhstan NOC’s Duysengalieva gets scholarship to study in Hong Kong

Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, September 4, 2019: Danisa Duysengalieva, an official of the Directorate of Sports at the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, has received a scholarship to do her Masters in sports management in Hong Kong.

The 24-year-old Duysengalieva, who is head of the summer sports service at the Directorate of Sports in the NOC, holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Davenport University in Michigan, United States.

A former member of the Kazakhstan rhythmic gymnastics team, she will now further her studies undergoing a two-year course to get her Masters degree in the American university’s Southeast Asia branch in Hong Kong.

“Working at the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, I was able to put the knowledge gained at the American University into practice. Further education will help me develop and combine my theoretical and practical knowledge,” Duysengalieva said.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan Timur Kulibayev for the opportunity to receive this education. Currently the sports industry in the Asian region is developing rapidly and I will try to apply the knowledge that I have received to develop the Olympic movement in my country,” she added.
